the prince would have once been ahappy man in his time so the statue would have been named after his description whereas usually some people are given titles based on their personality and looks and attitude .

He would have been more of a sad man . when he would have been erected as a statue as the happy prince  in his once beautiful town he starts seeing what people really feel like he then realises that to make sure that the prince was happy his people used to be thankful to what they were provided with .
