humans need oxygen for surviving. in the sea the solubility of oxygen is very low which is not sufficient for humans. therefore the divers carry oxygen in order to survive in water for longer time

Answer:
Divers who dive into the deep sea, often face the problem of oxygen shortage, as the "concentration of oxygen decreases" with an increase in the depth of the sea. Further, they cannot breathe while the dissolved oxygen present in the water enters into the lungs. This in turn affects their respiratory process and could also be fatal. This is why the divers have to carry cylinders of oxygen for artificial respiration under the sea.
