why do the doctors advise to put strips of wet cloth on the forehead of a person having high fever

To prevent the brain from being over heated

kvnmurty: to absorb the heat generated within the body.. that heat is generated more at the forehead

When we keep the strips of wet cloth on our head our body temperature decreases and our never seen relax thus doctors advise us to keep wet cloth strips
