why do the electric field do not form closed loops

The field lines start (or diverge)
from the positive charges and
terminate (or converge) on
negative charges. If the electric
field lines form closed loops ,
these lines must originate and
terminate on the same charge
which is not possible. ... So,
electric field lines can form
closed loop .
