Why do the electric field lines never cross each other​

bcz if they cross each other at the point of intersection the a unit +ve charge will move in 2 directions simultaneously which is impossible

If the electric field lines cut each other then at that point we can draw two tangents i.e. two directions for a point on the electric field which is not possible.
