Why do the flame of candle does not have a shadow?

because flame is a form of energy

light has to come and fall on an object and shouldn't pass light through it inorder to produce a shadow.In this case,the flame of a candle is the source of light so shadow isn't produced.If light much more intense is used the shadow of the flames appear.
