why do the gases diffuse but no solid

Gases diffuse because the molecules of gases are very free and move randomly thats why they have higher kinetic energy and diffuse faster.
on the other hand, solids are rigid and the molecules do not move thats why solid doesn't diffuse.

The gases diffuse but not solids because there is large space between the gas particles,whereas in `a solid there are not may spaces thus it is easy to diffuse in gases than liquids.
