why do the gses diffuse but no solid

Gases have vast inter molecular spaces between their particles and their inter molecular force of attraction in competitively less when compared to that of solids . This makes gases possible to diffuse into gases, liquids and solids but since the inter molecular force of attraction is greater in case of solids , which makes it difficult for diffusion
