why do the himalayan rivers have plenty of water thoughout the year?

because they are perennial and they don't only receive water from rain but also from ice of Himalayas which keeps on melting whole the year.

well..himalayan river extends from north of india. the paks of himalayas remain covered with the snow throughtout the year. the snow hardens and forms ice. huge masses of ice and snow move down slowly in the form of glaciers...

these glaciers feed the great rivers like GANGA and YAMUNA.

The other reason is they are perennial. PERENNIAL means for sever years or lng time. the himalayan regions recieve rainfall from mid of june to september.

therefore, snow and rainfall are the two main reason for himalayan rivers to have plenty of water throughout the year.
