Because of the presence of free mobile ions, it can conduct electricity in molten and aqueous state.

shreyanshgupta9: * mobile meaning free

kailashmandal09: free mobile ions means
Anonymous: Freely motile ions, which move.
kailashmandal09: motile means

Hello user !

Answer :

1) Ionic compounds conduct electricity in molten or aqueous state due to formation on ions.

2) In solid state , They are strongly held by strong electrostatic forces so there is no free movement of ions.

3) But when they are heated, the kinetic energy makes the ions free.

Hope it helps ❤ ❤
