Because the Dhangar stocks practised to feed on their harvest and thus manure their field is the right answer.

The Dhangars during winter harvested their crop (bajra), moved to the West. They reach Konkan after a journey of a month. Where Konkan was a flourishing farming field with great rainfall and rich soil. The Konkani peasants welcomed the Dhangars because the Konkan farmers during this time cut all their crops and the land required fertilization. This need for fertilizer was served by the Dhangar cattle who manured the tracts making them fertile.
