why do the level of water table decrease in certain areas of our country?

The level of water table decrease due to these reasons:-

1. We are overusing groundwater resources. It is used faster than it can replenish.Thus it is getting exhausted fast.
2. The monsoon in our country is seasonal and not uniform.Thus there is shortage of groundwater during the dry season.
3. There are lack of clear land also.We are continuously building roads and houses.Thus the rainwater cannot seep through the ground sometimes due to building,roads,etc.
