Why do the level of water table decrease in certain areas of our country?

The level of water table decrease due to these reasons:-

• We are overusing groundwater resources. It is used faster than it can replenish.Thus it is getting exhausted fast.
• The monsoon in our country is seasonal and not uniform.Thus there is shortage of groundwater during the dry season.
• There are lack of clear land also.We are continuously building roads and houses.Thus the rainwater cannot seep through the ground sometimes due to building,roads,etc.
