Answer:
In most of the cases, only the local material is used (usually bamboo), which makes it a very sustainable shelter. We saw different types of houses in each region, but the idea was almost the same wherever we went: wooden/bamboo pillars, bamboo spliced walls, a balcony or a terrace and a roof made out of dry leafs.

They build so as it reflects their culture and is the main raw material.
- Bamboo and cane handicrafts have a long history in the State
- Cane and bamboo are primary raw materials used to satisfy everyday needs like home construction, basket manufacturing, fishing traps, clothing, suspension bridge construction, and so on.
- Thus, the houses are constructed on stilts, having tall bamboo pillars that avert water from entering huts at the time of floods.
- The goods are also indicative of the rich and varied culture of the tribes occupying the beautiful State.
