There are several reasons behind it.
1. All places do not receive the same amount of rainfall depending upon the releif features
2. Places close to equator have a hot climate with high temperature and places away in the tropics have a good climate.
3. Closeness to water bodies also affects the climate. Places close to sea come under the influence of land and sea breeze and have less range of temperature.
4. Mountains act as a barrier sometimes and cause heavy rainfall on one side and scanty rainfall on other side affecting climate.
5. The altitude at which a place is located also changes the climate due to the normal lapse rate.
