Stars twinkle because stars are sun .planets not twinkle because they have no light . stars are like a hot ball like a sun now how the sun shines like that stars also shine .

Planets does not have their own light. Stars have their own light created of hydrogen and helium gas through fission. Stars twinkle because they are too far from us and due to persistence and other phenomenon they twinkle. But planets don't.
