Why do the sun, the moon and the stars appear moving round the earth, from east to west? Give Reasons

as because the direction of the earth' s rotation is towards West to East, consequently all the other things outside the earth like the sun ,moon and stars appear moving East to West.

• The Moon, Sun, and Stars moves around when viewed from earth and rises in the eastward direction and sets in the westward direction.
• The earth is spinning in its own axis.
• The rotation of earth is from west side to east side when it is viewed from North Pole. This motion is called prograde motion (spins in anti-clockwise direction from North Pole).
• The earth completes its one rotation in "23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds".
• The earth is slanting position, so the amount of sunlight it is receiving may vary.
• Thus, the rotation of earth is responsible for this phenomenon.
