Cavities, also called tooth decay or caries, are caused by a combination of factors, including bacteria in your mouth, frequent snacking, sipping sugary drinks and not cleaning your teeth well.

Cavities in teeth are caused when there are food particles in your mouth. When the food is stuck it produces bacteria and this bacteria eats all the food stuck in your mouth and produces acid which will cause cavities
