Why do the totals of two sides of trial balance are equal ? explain?

The basic rule of double entry bookkeeping is that every financial transaction gives rise to two accounting entries, one debit and the other credit.

The total debits should equal total credits. So the trial balance will balance because every debit there is a corresponding credit recorded in books.
