why do the walk of a trachea not collaspe when there is less air in it?

The trachea does not collapse when there is less air in the atmosphere because we has c shaped rings in the neck.

The walls of trachea are supported by cartilaginous rings which ensure that the trachea doesn't collapse in between breaths when there is less air inside it.
