why do the Western Ghats receive more rainfall than the Eastern Ghats explain in briefly?​

the Arabian sea branch of southwest monsoon winds are blocked by the western ghats as the mountains do not have gaps in between them,whereas the western ghats are not continuous hence they  block very less winds to shed rainfall .Hence western ghats receive more rainfall than the eastern ghats.
