Since we depend mostly on fresh water for our needs , so it is important to us . The demand is increasing due to much use of fresh water and increasing population .

Explanation:

According to me, for the following reasons the demand for fresh water is increasing:

1. The increase in population: the population of the whole world is increasing day by day causing an increase in the demand for fresh water.

2. Water pollution: people all around the world contribute to water pollution in one or another way, due to pollution the scarcity of fresh water has been observed.

3. Even though earth covers the three-fourths of the water the availability of fresh water is not more than 1-2%.

All these factors led to an increasing demand for fresh water .
