Food production takes an amazing (2x I use the word) toll on our environment. Fuel. Fertilizers. Mechanized farm equipment. Transport. Storage. Packaging. More bags to bring it home, if you are not using your own.

Time and energy one uses to go get it, store it, cook it, only to waste it.
