The metabolic activities in multicellular and unicellular organisms is very different.

Unicellular organisms consist of just one cell. They use the surface of the cell for almost every activity. They also have some specific organelles to help them do their works.

But, multicellular organisms have a complex body. They have several organs for every purpose. Such as, Digestive System, Respiratory System, Circulatory System, Excretory System, Nervous System, and so on.

This makes a difference between unicellular and multicellular organisms due to their different structures and functions.
