why do vehicles have large tyres?

heavy vehicle like truck usually have big or doubled tyres so that they can increase the surface area of tyres n make the comfortable to hold up a very heavy surface

To increase their surface area and decrease the pressure and distributed equally pressure and to grip the roads that the car won't slip off.
