why do ventricles have thicker ,muscular walls than atria

ventricles have thicker wall than atria because in atria the flow of blood is very fast and in ventricles it is not so fast

Blood comes from ventricles under high pressure.
Ventricles have to pump blood for rest of the body.
Hence they have thick muscular walls than atria.
