why do ventricles have thicker walls than Atria/auricles​

Answer :

Since ventricles have to pump blood into various organs and the pressure of blood flowing in them is more than that of auricles , therefore ventricles have thicker muscular walls than the auricles.

The walls of ventricles are thicker than atria/auricles because the left ventricle has to pump blood into vessels, which in turn carry blood to entire body.

The right ventricle pumps blood to the pulmonary arteries, which carry it to lungs.

To prevent the bursting of blood vessels due to high pressure flow of blood, the ventricles have thick walls.

Whereas the walls of atria are thinner than that of ventricle because they only have to pump blood into the ventricle.
