the moon is nothing but the satellite of the earth . It revolves around the earth and also rotate by itself ... the moon is known to be sperical in shape . as the moon is sperical we see only the circle shaped part of moon which changes accordingly but it can't be guessed wih our naked eyes and this happens because of the atmonsphere.. hence the statement that we see the same side of moon is partially true..
