hello friend,
there are many reasons why we blink our eyes:
1.to prevent our eyes from drying up.
2.Blinking also keeps eyes safe from potentially damaging stimuli, such as bright lights and foreign bodies like dust.
3.sometimes we blink to give rest to eyes.
4.to keep our eyes lubricated.
5.We don't just blink to keep our eyes lubricated -it's often done to remember we did last week, or imagine what we'll do tomorrow..
____________________________
--we cannot fully control the blinking of our eyes.
--we can try to increase or decrease the rate of blinking to some extent according to our will but we cannot completely stop it.
--it is an involuntary function ie which is not under our control although we can control it to some extent.
