why do we call concave mirror as a converging mirror

When the parallel beam of light strikes the reflecting surface of a concave mirror the after reflection all the reflected rays passes from a common point called focus, as the reflected rays comes closer to each other and finally meet at focus it is known as converging mirror

When light from infinity strike the concave mirror then the light rays pass through focus of the concave mirror.Or we can say that they converge at the focus
