why do we call lysosomes as susidal bags sometimes while as other some other time we call them scavengers of the cell?

if their is an entry of foreign body like bacteria virus the lysosome destroys it hence acting as a scavengers

if their is some situation where a cell cannot function itself ex. cancer cell ,the lysosome swallow whole cell acting as sucidal bags...
