It is situates inside thoracic cavity
between the 5th and 6th vertebrae.
It has a special type of muscle fibres called as cardiac muscles.
The heart has some special groups of tissue called as conducting tissues.

human heart is myogenic because it is auto excitable and can produce and transmit its own signals without any command from brain
