Why do we call the village palampur as hypothetical village?

We call the village palampur as hypothetical village because this village doesn't actually exist it is used in a chapter of class 12th subject english just to show the problems faced by villagers .

We call the village palampur as hypothetical village becuase people their do farming. They depend on farming. They grow the crops and sell the things in market for a good price.
