Answer:

Due to discovery of different elements, it was difficult to organize the information and properties of the elements, so there was a strong need to find some pattern in the properties of different elements so that they can be grouped together. That's why we classify elements.

• In the year 1800 only 30 elements were known now at present there are 114 elements are known.

• So it became difficult for the scientist to remember all the properties of the elements Therefore, there was a need to classify the elements.

• Many scientist tried to classify their elements based on their different criterias. some proud success while some did not as well as we will see in further slides.
