Various kind of animals and plants occur on the earth. For example on one hand , we have microscopic bacteria of a few micrometer in size but on the other hand , we have blue whale and red wood tree of size 30m to 100m approximately. Some pine trees live for thousand of year while insect like mosquitoes die in a few days. Therefore , to make easy the study about various forms of life , they are classified on the basis of similarity and dissimilarity . Classification helps to understand the origin of organisms and their inter relationship. It's helps in exploring the diversity of life forms.
