This helps us in understanding evolutionary history of organisms easily.

It helps in providing knowledge about origin and genetic relationship among organisms easily.

It provides information needed for all the branches of biology.

By studying anyone organisam of a group we are able to tell some characteristic about the other organisms in that group.
