Because there are large no. of organisms present in environment and it is nearly impossible to remember and study the characteristics of each and every organisms.. therefore we classify the organism so that we have to just study the characteristics of one group instead of studying them particularly

Classification makes the study of a wide variety of organisms easier .

This helps us in understanding evolutionary history of organisms easily.

It helps in providing knowledge about origin and genetic relationship among organisms easily.

It provides information needed for all the branches of biology.

By studying anyone organisam of a group we are able to tell some characteristic about the other organisms in that group.
