Stars are far away from us compared to the star called sun. Because of the distance other stars appear to us like a point and are not visible during the day because of the glare of bright sunlight.

As ordinary stars behave and taking some other important factors, we always consider sun as a star...Well, in other and simpler words I can say that we have a star in our solar system around which plants, exoplanets and astroids revolve named"sun".Sun is just its name....it is actually a star.
