why do we consider virus as a connecting link between living and nonliving

Bcoz it spread from non living to living.....so it is the connecting link b/w living and non living

Viruses are between living and non living because they act as living beings when they enter the body of the host cell and use their DNA to replicate themselves since they lack their own DNA..
However outside the host cell, they act as non living things only..
