why do we do work with pencil till 5 th class why not with pens

Children up-to 5th standard are pretty young and are still learning to write properly. They make plenty of mistakes. Usage of a pencil helps then correct the mistakes with the help of an eraser. When the children as grow older, they are considered mature enough not to do the above and hence allowed to write with pens.
