Explanation:

Dream is my favorite topic of discussion. My first entry in my diary was about dreams. And just to emphasize more on why I love the topic of dreams, let me just tell you that every night before I go to sleep, I pray for a nice good and interesting dream.

For me dreams are like my very own little stories of which I am the writer, director, main character and because I never sang in my dreams, (may be because I am not such a good singer ) never the singer. Dreams are where I face my every day fears, achieve all that I have always wanted. And no it is just not that dreams make me believe that I can face my fears, dreams encourages me to work towards my dream by showing me how it would be like to have what I want.

And sometimes they are just these meaningless things you know where I have some weird spitting power which saves the world. I shall better not start on that dream it was quite weird. But no matter what, every morning when I wake up, every time I open my eyes to the beautiful, shrieking, melodious noise of my alarm I am always excited to share my dreams with my friends and father and annoy my mother. She hates it when I tell her about my dreams but no matter what I get her to listen to them and not matter what she listens to them.

I would like to share an incident where a dream made me happy and encouraged me. So I had given the written test for an entry about which I was and still am very passionate about. I was very sure that I would clear it and so on the day results were announced I was very hopeful. But sadly I didn’t clear it. I cried all day, my parents were dead worried because they knew how important it was for me. My roommates (I was in college and away from home) tried consoling me but to no result. And that night I cried myself to sleep. That night I saw my grandmother in my dream, we lost her to cancer when I was like eleven years old and she had appeared in my dream since then only once (the next day after her death). So in the dream my grandmother tells me not to loose hope and start afresh, she tells me to work much harder this time and draws example from her life, that how she managed to work against the odds. She said a lot more things but I don’t remember them all but I do remember the feeling. The next morning when I woke up I was crying happy tears. You call it subconscious or anything but for me it was y grandmother giving me a piece of advice that made me happy and encouraged me. And for the record, the next time I was able to clear the written test.

So for me dreams are my novels, my movies, my motivation, my mirror, my integral part.

Happy Dreaming!

Heya.....

We dream because....

According to me -

Which things are not possible in our reality that we are making possible in dreams...

Scientific answer - -

Dreams are hallucinations that occur during certain stages of sleep. They’re strongest during REM sleep, or the rapid eye movement stage, when you may be less likely to recall your dream. Much is known about the role of sleep in regulating our metabolism, blood pressure, brain function, and other aspects of health. But it’s been harder for researchers to explain the role of dreams.

When you’re awake, your thoughts have a certain logic to them. When you sleep, your brain is still active, but your thoughts or dreams often make little or no sense. This may be because the emotional centers of the brain trigger dreams, rather than the logical regions.
