In a moving bus, passengers are in motion along with bus. When brakes are applied to stop a moving bus, bus comes in the position of rest. But because of tendency to be in the motion a person falls in forward direction.

Similarly, when a bus is accelerated from rest, the tendency to be in rest, a person in the bus falls backwards.

We fall in the forward direction when a moving brakes to stop because our lower part e body which is in contact with the floor of the bus comes to rest, but as our upper body is in inertia of motion we continue to move forward. Thus we fall down in the forward direction and we fall in backward direction when it accelerates from rest because on lower body which is in contact with the floor of the bus starts to move in motion, but as upper body is in inertia of rest continues to be in rest. Thus, we fall backwards.

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU WITH THANKS.
