Reason for burning sensation of the tentacles of jellyfish when it touches our skin:-

The tentacles of the jellyfish contain cells that are special and are known as cnidocytes.

In these cells there are structures known as nematocysts which are full of venom.

When these structures are triggered by touch they shoot out and takes a very short time to penetrate human skin.

Once this venom is injected into the skin the pain, redness and blistering begins.
