here is your answer

Because there is a temperature difference between us and the ice.

When there is a temperature difference (temperature gradient), we

will have heat flow so that the two (ice and us) will reach thermal

equilibrium (equal temperature). The greater the gradient, the greater

the heat flow

Heat is always flowing from hot area to cold area. In this case, our body is warmer than ice, so body heat will be absorded by ice. As our body looses heat, we feel cold. Ice receives heat from our body so its temperature increasesand it melts.

hope this will help u :)

Answer:when we hold a piece of ice in our hand then we feel chilling cold because the ice takes the latent heat of vaporisation from our hand and exposure in the atmosphere and we feel cold
