The evaporation of the sweat is actually what cools you. The changefrom a liquid to a gas requires heat energy and it gets part ofthat heat energy from the skin, making the body feel cooler. Perspiration takes excess heat from your body and releases it tothe surface in moisture. A secondary mechanism continues to coolthe body as the moisture evaporates from the surface of the skin.Cooling occurs in all types of climates but the evaporationmechanism works best in areas with low humidity because it exchangeis more rapid.

We get perspiration or sweatingbecause our body tries to cool ourselves by releasing water (sweat) through the pores of our skin. And now when we sit under a fan ,the sweat on our body evaporates due to the air directed upon us, making our body cool.

Answer:

A fan produces a feeling of comfort because our perspiration or sweating evaporates rapidly. Our body tries to cool ourselves by releasing sweat through pores of our skin. And when we sit under the fan, the sweat of our body evaporates due to directed air upon us making our body cool.
