ANSWER: You're supposed to be hungry after you work out. Exercise burns calories, uses up your glycogen and stimulates your appetite. It also dehydrates you and if you don't drink enough water before, during and after your workout, you're going to feel hungry.

During physical activities such as walking , fast running , exercising etc. we need extra energy and so we breathe faster . This supplies more oxygen to our cells and hence speeds up the process of breakdown of food and more energy is released . As during this process more food is burnt or oxidised , so we feel hungry after a heavy physical activity .
