Why do we feel more heat on keeping one hand on above the candles falme than keeping one hand side of the candles falme

This so because when you put your one hand on burning candle its hot flame which emerges from burning of candle touches your palm and you feel heat while other hand is not on the flame therefore it does not feel that heat

The hand above the flame gets more heat due to convection. On the sides, there is no convection and so air does not feel as hot as at the top.❤️
