why do we feel more heat when we keep one hand above the flame than keeping on the side of the candle flame?​

we feel more heat when we keep the hand of the candle flame than keeping on the side of the candle flame because when we keep our hand above the candle flame the upper part of the plane that is very very hot very very hot.

The hand above the flame gets more heat due to convection. On the sides, there is no convection and so air does not feel as hot as at the top.❤️
