Closed room does not permit fresh air to come in and therefore due to non availability of fresh air to breath, person might feel suffocated. Inside a closed room, the amount of OXYGEN is limited. As we respire we use up all the OXYGEN and instead of it we fill the room with CARBON DIOXIDE. So we feel suffocated.
