why do we find droplets of water on the underside of the plate that is put on hot bowl of soup?

this happens as the plate is cool. as the hot steam from the soup rises, it comes in contact with the plate and condenses thus forming water droplets.

This happens because water vapour will be formed inside and when it is formed it has no space to occupy..so,it gets accumalated in the form of water droplets(i.e. condensation takes place.And so we find droplets of water on the underside of the plate that is put on hot bowl or soup.
